The only town on Cumbrae is called Millport, and it nestles round the old harbour, where the pleasure boats used to dock . Millport has long been a popular destination for Glaswegians looking for a day trip “doon the watter” , and recently has enjoyed a revival by those looking for a truly old fashioned seaside holiday. It’s relaxed pace, friendly atmosphere and pleasant climate attract holiday makers from far and wide.
