If you are interested in seeing some of the wild birds, particularly on the uninhabited isle of Wee Cumbrae, there are several boat trips that will take you out to sail around the island .One simply leaves from the old pier every hour, on the hour, and no booking ahead is needed. Again I have not tried these providers, but I would welcome any feed back if anybody else has!
